11. Finding rational simple eigenvalues of a noncommutative rational

    1. Problem 11.1.

[Jurij Volčič] Suppose $r$ is a noncommutative rational function. Can we find $\Xi$, a tuple of matrices over the field of univariate rational functions, such that $r(\Xi)$ is a matrix of rational functions with a simple rational eigenvalue?
        1. Remark. This is related to the centralizer problem for the free skew field.
